In Home Display Unit (IHDU)

 

SGS’s CDU 500X Series In-Home Display Unit delivers real-time information on Power, Water, Gas and Heat usage to the Consumer and provides better understanding of  his consumption over time (hours, days, weeks, etc.) and enables real time decision making on implementing changes to the consumption behavior. SGS’s CDU 500X Series In-Home Display Unit is part of  SGS's SGSoft™ network. It communicates with the meters and other SGS-CSC network nodes PLC, GSM, MBus, or via RF signal.

 

Each In-Home Display Unit communicates directly with its SGS-CSC AMI node using any of PLC communications, GSM (Utility Control Center) or RF (ZigBee) communications. SGS’s CDU 500X Series In-Home Display Unit provides benefits for both utilities and end-users:

 

For Utilities:

Since the end-user can view and monitor his daily consumption of Electricity, Water and Gas, the meter can be physically mounted on a pole, thus providing the utility a more effective anti-theft solution.

The In-Home Display Units provides user friendly information on Electricity, Water and Gas usage as well as  tariffs.
